Jamison Road Accident

On April 10, Spring Brook was called out for a one car motor vehicle accident. The driver had lost control of his vehicle and ended up perched on a guard rail. He was transported to Mercy Hospital by Rural Metro.

 

Spring Brook Responds to Tractor Trailer Rollover

On April 2, Spring Brook firefighters responded to a rollover accident on the Transit Road entrance ramp to the 400 southbound. Upon arrival, crews found a tractor trailer on its side, leaking diesel fuel. The driver had been extricated with the help of an eyewitness. He was unhurt. East Seneca and Spring Brook firefighters remained on scene while the mess was cleaned up.

Spring Brook's New Engine 3 Goes Into Service

On October 1, 2009, Spring Brook Fire District took possession of Engine #3, a 2009 Pierce Arrow pumper, straight from the manufacturer in Appleton, Missouri. #3 will replace Engine #1, a 1982 Pierce pumper, soon to be taken out of service. The new engine has gone into service and is Spring Brook's first attack pumper.

Spring Brook, East Seneca, Blossom, RMA & Mercy Flight Receive Award

At Firemen's Day at the Erie County Fair this year, Spring Brook, along with neighboring companies East Seneca and Blossom, and Rural Metro Ambulance and Mercy Flight received the Excellence in Team Work Award for a call they responded to back on March 2, 2009. Matthew Faulkner, a 17-year-old high school senior was critically injured in a motor vehicle accident at Transit and New Bullis roads in the Town of Elma. Through the hard work of these five companies, Matthew's life was saved, and he was able to walk across the stage at his high school graduation this past June. He was also able to join the five companies and their representatives in accepting this award at the fair.
